Tour Maquisapa (4 days – 3 nights)

During these 4 days 3 nights in the jungle of Peru, our guides will take your trip in a jungle adventure where they will take the traveler deep into the largest and most diverse natural spaces in the world. This tour includes 1 night of camping in the jungle in the “Mirador Palo Alto”, a 3-story observation tower that provides a bird’s eye view of the lowland jungle. This jungle expedition also includes some of our most popular activities include: excursion to see alligators, piranha fishing, jungle treks, visit the native Amazonian tribes, canoe rides, pink river dolphin watching and much more !.

Program Details – Day 1

(09:00 am) – Pick up from the hotel or airport.
(09:30 am) – Visit to the native Bora community (we will dance their typical dances and we will know their customs).
(10:30 am) – Observation of the meeting of the waters of the Nanay river and the Amazon.
(11:30 a.m.) – Arrival at the lodge and welcome with seasonal fruit refreshment.
(01:00 pm) – Lunch buffet.
(03:00 pm) – Watching gray and pink dolphins and bathe in the Amazon.
(05:30 pm) – Watching the sunset on the Amazon River.
(06:30 pm) – Buffet dinner.
(07:30 pm) – Night excursion (we will look for frogs, tarantulas and nocturnal insects).

Program Details – Day 2

(05:30 am) – Bird watching and sunrise.
(07:30 am) – Breakfast buffet.
(09:00 am) – Visit to the butterfly community in San Rafael (we will know the life cycle of the butterflies and the importance in the ecosystem).
(03:00 pm) – Visit to the craft mill (we will taste the best drinks in the region)
(04:00 pm) – We will meet the community of San Juan de Huashalado.
(06:30 pm) – Buffet dinner.

Program Details – Day 3

(07:30 am) – Breakfast buffet.
(09:00 am) – Visit to the Native Yahua community (we will know their customs, dances and we will use the blowgun)
(10:30 am) – Botanical walk to discover medicinal plants.
(01:00 pm) – Lunch buffet.
(03:00 pm) – Piranha fishing.
(06:30 pm) – Buffet dinner.

Program Details – Day 4

(07:30 am) – Breakfast buffet.
(09:30 am) – Walk in primary jungle to observe the lupuna (giant tree).
(01:00 pm) – Lunch buffet.
(04:00 pm) – Visit to the animal rescue center (woolly monkeys, maquisapa, squirrel monkey, macaw, toucans, anaconda, boa constrictors, prehistoric turtles, etc.)
(05:00 pm) – Arrival in Iquitos transfer to the hotel or airport.
